Cinco Cocke’s career in commercial real estate and construction started early. He grew up in the industry, as the Cocke family owned and operated a ready-mix concrete and concrete pipe company in South Texas for nearly 50 years. That background shaped his practical understanding of how projects get built from the ground up. Over the past 30 years, Cinco has worked across commercial real estate sales, development, and construction throughout Texas. His experience includes eight years with CBRE in Austin and 17 years with Huffman Builders, where he played a key role in delivering more than 700,000 square feet of industrial, office, and medical facilities across the state. His total transaction volume, including leasing and sales, exceeds 2 million square feet.
Beyond project delivery, Cinco has been recognized for his leadership and industry knowledge. In 2002, CBRE selected him as an instructor for its CB 102 program, a nationally respected course held quarterly at the UCLA Conference Center in Lake Arrowhead, California. His ability to teach real-world commercial real estate fundamentals earned him CBRE’s Benjamin A. Banker Award for Educational Excellence in both 2002 and 2003. Today, Cinco brings that same discipline, experience, and straight-talk approach to every client relationship and every project he takes on.
Continuing Education Courses Completed through CCIM:
My experience spans more than 17 years in real estate development and construction. I have been involved in every phase of the process, from site selection and assembling design and engineering teams to budgeting, construction oversight, and real-time problem solving in the field. My experience includes working closely with general contractors, subcontractors, architects, civil, structural, and MEP engineers, lenders, inspectors, and testing firms to control costs and minimize change orders. I also develop detailed proformas, secure equity and construction financing, and present clear ROI and IRR projections to partners, combining practical construction management with disciplined financial execution to protect capital and deliver strong project performance.
